Bank Swiftly Agrees to $640,000 Payout to Female Bank Employee

FLORIDA – Jim Garrity succeeded in negotiating a substantial payout on behalf of a female banking employee who’d encountered severe obstacles placed in her way by male managers determined to prevent her from promoting any further.

The settlement allowed her to remain employed, removed negative information from her personnel file, and changed her chain of command, so she cannot continue to be held back by males trying to sabotage her career.

Discrimination against professional women in the workplace is a serious problem in the workplace. It can appear in many forms – unachievable goals, less desirable assignments, and lower pay for the same work as men. The barriers aren’t always immediately obvious. But with decades of pro-employee experience, we can easily spot the telltale signs. Here, we were genuinely pleased with our work in stripping away the obstacles, and freeing our client to promote upward on the same terms as others in the organization.
